Democratic Decision Making and Assertive Attitudes: present perfect (Inglés 2)

Projects and Readings. Second Grade (SEP).

FormaEstructuraEjemplo
Afirmativasujeto + have/has + participio pasadoWe have played many games this year.
Negativasujeto + have/has not + participio pasadoThey haven’t designed the tombolas yet.
InterrogativaHave/Has + sujeto + participio pasado + ?Have you decided the game rules?

Los verbos regulares forman el participio igual que el simple past (-ed: played, designed, decided); los irregulares se aprenden de memoria (write → written, have → had, see → seen).

  • The students have researched information about democratic decision making.
  • We haven’t finished the tombolas yet.
  • Has the community decided the game rules?

  1. We have made the tombolas. They are ready to use.

  2. The community explained the rules last Monday.

  3. Have you ever played a cooperative game like this one?

  4. They have not finished the catalog of games yet.

Yet (todavía) también acompaña al present perfect.

Comprueba lo aprendido

1. ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre «I played the game» y «I have played the game»?

I played the game (simple past) ocurrió en un momento específico y terminado. I have played the game (present perfect) no dice cuándo exactamente, solo que ya sucedió y es relevante ahora.

2. Corrige el error: «She have designed a new tombola».

She has designed a new tombola. Con she (tercera persona singular) el auxiliar es has, no have.
