Social Media and Cultural Manifestations: vocabulario, entrevistas y lectura (Inglés 3)

Página 183: From #OOTD to #StreetArtRevolution (Reading)

a) What are the initial challenges that Sarah and Ben face when working together on the project?

They had a clash and a ton of arguments: Sarah wanted to document everything for her followers, while Ben wanted to understand the stories behind the murals. They argued about whether using social media to promote street art was authentic.

b) How do Sarah and Ben’s contrasting perspectives on art contribute to the success of their final project?

Ben’s mural gave the project a powerful artistic message, and Sarah’s social media campaign helped it reach many people. Together, they combined traditional and digital art.

c) What message does the story send about working with people who have different perspectives?

That collaboration is powerful: even people with very different points of view can find common ground and learn from each other.

d) Do you think social media can be a valuable tool for promoting art? Explain your answer.

Yes, because it helps artists show their work to people all over the world and starts conversations about social issues. However, as Sarah learned, influence comes with responsibility.
